The steps of evolution are as follows:

  • Grid Computing :--





The grid computing is a special kind of distributed computing. In distributed computing, different computers within the same network share one or more resources. In the ideal grid computing system, every resource is shared, turning a computer network into a powerful supercomputer. 


With the right user interface, accessing a grid computing system would look no different than accessing a local machine's resources. Every authorized computer would have access to enormous processing power and storage capacity.




  • Utility Computing:--



Utility computing is the process of providing computing service through an on-demand, pay-per-use billing method.





 Utility computing is a computing business model in which the provider owns, operates and manages the computing infrastructure and resources, and the subscribers accesses it as and when required on a rental or metered basis.




  • Software As A Service:--



Software as a service (SaaS) is a model for the distribution of software where customers access software over the Internet.





 In SaaS, a service provider hosts the application at its data center and a customer accesses it via a standard web browser.






  • Cloud Computing:--






the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer.
