Introduction to Cloud Computing

Different person have different definitions on cloud computing :-

  • Widely Distributed
  • Network Based
  • Storage
  • Computation and so on.....


What is Cloud ?
Cloud is nothing but just using some one's else server to host , process , or store the data
you can't store large data on your system , that's why we uses cloud.

What is Cloud Computing ?
Definitions are:-


  • Cloud Computing is the delivery of computing services—servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, intelligence and more—over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources and economies of scale. 


  • Cloud computing is the the use of various services, such as software development platforms, servers, storage and software, over the internet, often referred to as the "cloud."


  • In general, there are three cloud computing characteristics that are common among all cloud-computing vendors:-
  1. The back-end of the application (especially hardware) is completely managed by a cloud vendor.
  2. A user only pays for services used (memory, processing time and bandwidth, etc.).
  3. Services are scalable .

  • Customer/Users:- are those who want to access , retrieve or store the data.



  • Cloud Providers:-are those persons who are giving the servers to the customers like Microsoft persons and google person etc.. Customer relevant information has been stored on the servers by cloud provider .



  • Cloud Services:- are as follows...
  1. Saas :- The customer/user want  to access software as a service . for e g. they can downloaded some software which is free or paid .
  2. Paas :- The customer/user want  to access Platform as a service . for e g they want to install java or any other platform can easily downloaded from internet.
  3. Iaas :- The customer/user want  to access infrastructure as a service .
